Three L.A. Artists on Sgt. Peppers

Christopher Knight's review of William Hack's new book on Los Angeles art in the 1960s, Out of Sight, certainly paints the book as essential reading. Also in the review, Knight throws out the interesting bit of trivia that Wallace Berman, famous beatnik and collage artist, appeared as a part of the congregation of cultural icons on Jann Haworth and Peter Blake's Grammy winning cover art for the Beatles' 1967 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band.

I never knew this and was curious to find who else from the 1960s L.A. artworld was present in the image. Come to find out, Larry Bell and Watts Towers creator, Simon Rodia, also make appearances.
